In addition to seeing the regular cast, we’ve been introduced to a slew of new players for the second season!

At the top of the casting news is the announcement of the actress portraying Sahar Zahid, who becomes an integral member of the main team in season two. There was an open casting call for the role months ago, and fans are eagerly waiting for the show. The role will be taken by newcomer Leela Khan, and fans are already starting to get stained.

Evan Owenell is also featured for this season as Christian, one of Nick and Charlie’s surprisingly supportive rugby friends. Everyone’s favorite rugby trio from the comics features Arloyin Oshunremi as Otis and Ashwin Viswanath as Sai.

They are joined by a new student at Truham Grammar Boys’ School, James McEwan, played by Bradley Riches. Richus had a bit of a speaking part during the season one finale, and he must have really killed it to give him an entirely new character!

Jack Barton as Nick’s older brother David is rolling out newcomers, and Neema Taleghani, who plays a Truhm teacher named Mr. Farooq. Comics readers will undoubtedly be interested to see how the latter character’s story with a certain other teacher will play out on screen, but we’re not missing out on spoilers.

Plot points will be shown from the third and fourth installments of the second season Heartstopper Comics, including a class trip to Paris. New relationships are formed and old favorites are tested, all against the backdrop of the City of Love.

We also take an in-depth look at Nick Nelson’s family life (hence his brother’s new inclusion). Hopefully this means a lot of Olivia Colman scenes are on the horizon.

Without getting too deep into the plot, Joe Locke undoubtedly has a tall order this season with Charlie’s more serious storylines.

No matter how these stories are adapted, fans are ready to stream the other as much as they can.
