Carlos Carrasco surpassed the 1,500 strikeout barrier

Venezuelan Carlos Carrasco, pitcher for the New York Metssurpassed this Tuesday night the barrier of 1,500 strikeouts in his career in the Major Leagues (MLB, for its acronym in English).

The “Cookie”, who reached this day with 1,498 strikeouts, concluded his performance against the Milwaukee Brewers with four rivals passed by strikes, thus accumulating 1,502 in the MLB.

In this way, the man from Barquisimeto became the sixth Venezuelan to collect such a number of strikeouts in the “Big Show”, after Félix Hernández (2,524), Johan Santana (1,988), Aníbal Sánchez (1,764), Carlos Zambrano (1,637) and Freddy Garcia (1,621).
