The Venezuelan baseball player, Eduardo Escobar, commanded the triumph of the New York Mets (9-2) against the Oakland Athletics at RinCental Coliseum.
The Creole hit his 19th home run of the season with the bases loaded, driving in Brandon Nimmo, Mark Canha and Pete Alonso to make it 7-0.

Later, in the top of the seventh, Escobar would step on the plate again after an RBI double by Jeff McNeil to mark the Mets’ final ninth run.
The one with the pike currently records a .236 batting average with 109 hits, 19 home runs, 61 RBIs and 56 runs scored.

With this victory, the New York Mets extend their lead in the first position of the Eastern Division of the National League with 2.5 games ahead of the Atlanta Braves.
The team will see action again against the Oakland Athletics as part of the series they play.
