An incredible surprise has been announced for fans of Mutants. Hugh Jackman, who played Wolverine for 18 years, will return in ‘Deadpool 3’ as part of the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe). The news was revealed by the film’s protagonist Ryan Reynolds through a funny video on social media.

Titled “Hard Keeping My Mouth Sewn Off About This One”, Reynolds talks about preparing to live the Marvel character and how he was looking for new ideas to make the feature film debut unforgettable. Then Hugh Jackman appears behind the scenes. Reynolds then asks, “Hey Hugh, you wanna play Wolverine one more time?” And he replies, “Yeah, sure, Ryan.”

Finally, the advert also includes a parody of the song “I’ll Always Love You”, a hit voicing Whitney Houston, who adds ‘Hugh’ at the end of the song’s chorus.
Hugh Jackman’s last appearance as the character was in “Logan” (2017), the first hero film nominated for Best Adapted Screenplay at the Oscars. Prior to this, he starred in nine titles in the X-Men franchise, playing the role of Wolverine. “Deadpool 3” opens in theaters on September 6, 2024.
