The meeting of the Angels this Thursday against Oakland became the night of pitcher Shohei Ohtani who left a great performance.
Ohtani continues to surprise in the MLB, this time the Japanese pitcher was about to throw a game without hits or runs against the Oakland Athletics.
The victory of the match went to the Los Angeles Angels 4-2 with the pitcher as the protagonist, pitched 8 innings, struck out 10 and only allowed two hits. With which he matched his longest start of the season.
The pitcher dominated the match until the eighth inning when Connel Capel broke the spell with two outs on the board, by this inning the Japanese had already struck out 10 Californians.
He also reached 14 consecutive games with at least one hit by firing an RBI single in the first inning.
It is the longest active streak in the Major Leagues. Ohtani has 26 hits in games in which he has been on the mound.

For the Angels, Luis Rengifo 5-2 homered to contribute one of the four runs of the night against Oakland.
