Actors reggae-Jean Page (Bridgeton) and Glenn Powell (Top Gun: Maverick) will star in the Russo Brothers’ new TV series for Amazon. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the pair would be the new “Butch and Sundance,” characters first played by Paul Newman and Robert Redford in 1969.

Page will play Butch Cassidy, while Powell will play the Sundance Kid. The actor will also serve as executive producer and will be actively involved in the production of the series.

For now, little is known about the new project. It is known that the script will be signed by cousins Kaz and Ryan Firpo from “Eternal”, and that Amazon is planning a major franchise with multiple seasons and spinoffs. It has also been speculated that the series may be set in an alternate United States, similar to “For All Mankind” (Apple) and “Man in the High Castle” (Amazon).
