Similarly, Odor is a couple of doubles from 20, which would be reaching his sixth season with at least that number of two-base hits. It should also be noted that the 51 produced by him also represent the sixth time and the first since 2019 in which he manages to promote 50 teammates.
It’s also pretty important that Odor be able to hit in these final days of the regular season, especially to allow himself another chance with the Orioles in 2023.
Now, the Orioles still have a sliver of hope, but the margin for error is slim. Well, they have 10 games left; all against opponents in their division, and they need at least five wins to reach the third wild card.
However, Brandon Hyde’s men could take comfort in finishing the year playing .500, something that hasn’t happened since 2016 (89-73, .549).
