Tottenham Hotspur are closing in on another transfer – Everton forward Richardson and it looks like some of his potential new teammates and former teammates have given their thumbs up to that move.
Fabrizio Romano posted on Instagram that Tottenham are ‘finally’ ready to sign Richardson from Everton, ‘deal complete’ and Everton are getting £50m for that player, plus £10m in add-ons .
The Italian journalist’s message was liked by Tottenham’s current pairing, Ivan Perisic and Lucas Moura, who will now join Richardson at Hotspur Way.
As well as Aston Villa left-back, Lucas Digne, who moved to the Midlands in January to see firsthand what Richardson is up to at Goodison Park.
How will Richardson fair in Tottenham?
The Brazil international is one who prefers to play either on the left or straight in the middle – usually at Everton, he will only play the central role if Dominic Calvert-Lewin is not playing.
Now, at Spurs, that’s not going to happen because a certain Harry Kane is the main man at the top, while Heung-Min Son won the Golden Boot last season from the left.
So, who does Richardson lead or will Antonio Conte use all the action on the right? Or dare to say, push the son out there because he is too strong from a technical point of view?
Either way, South American specialist, TIM Vickery, labeled Richardson as ‘horse racing with the blinker’ after scoring ten Premier League goals at Goodison Park last season.
It will be interesting to see how he performs in the colors of Tottenham returning to Champions League football.
