Speaking on the Que Golazzo podcast, Fabrizio Romano has given an update on Leeds’ interest in Charles de Catelier and Cody Gacpo.

Leeds may have already signed three contracts this summer, but they could be back on the market once the deals for Calvin Phillips and Rafinha are finalised.

Indeed, whites can expect close to £100m after these players are sold, and they can sign some truly quality players with that cash.

Gakpo and De Ketelaere have been linked, but according to Romano, Gakpo is not one of Leeds’ top targets, however, he says De Ketelaere is definitely one to keep an eye on.

Romano talks about Gakpo and De Catelere.

“One name I’ll be keeping an eye on is Charles de Catelair, he’s a very interesting player, he’s very high on the list at Leeds, they’re waiting for a deal for Rafinha, but de Catellare is one of those players. One is what they want,” Romano said.

“Gakpo is a possibility, he is one of the names on their list, I am told that he is not at the top of Leeds list at the moment, but he is one of the possibilities. Now for them, he is one for Rafinha. Wanting to find a solution and then jump into new signatures, both Gakpo and De Catelere are on the list.

Leeds United can’t afford to rest on their honors with Rafinha and Phillips potentially departing, and it looks as though they are ready to act immediately.

De Ketelaere will be a big money mover, and it looks like he could be an absolute gem, while Gakpo was last season’s Player of the Year, so he could act as an immediate replacement for Raphinha.

Leeds has been circling these two, and if they manage to sign both players, they can improve as a team too.
