Nottingham Forest top-5 French players as Fulham star bids table

Nottingham Forest are interested in Moussa Nyakhate to improve Steve Cooper’s side after securing promotion, which could make Mainz Starr the club’s 12th Frenchman so far.

Louis-Jean Niacchet may be inspiration amid Nottingham Forest interest

Amid Nottingham Forest’s interest in a possible relocation of the Mainz Enforcer, the City Grounds may house the collection of Matthew Louis-Jean Niacchet. The right-back spent seven years in the East Midlands after joining on loan from Le Havre in 1998/99 before making it permanent.

The Mont-Saint-Aignan native only played for Le Havre before securing his transfer to England. Nevertheless he made 16 appearances during the 1998/99 Premier League campaign and by 2005 made 213 appearances for Nottingham Forest in all competitions.

Bonlair enjoys the only magic on English soil with Nottingham Forest

Thierry Bonlair enjoyed his only spell on English soil with Nottingham Forest from 1997 to 2000. The left-back Swiss side moved to the East Midlands after two years at Zamax, as well as stints in their native France with Lille, Auxerre, Nantes and Amiens between 1983. and 1993.
