Honduran outlet Diaz claims Bordeaux attacker Albert Ellis has ‘multiple offers’ on the table amid interest from Leeds United, West Ham United and Fenerbahce. The winger has just completed a permanent move to Bordeaux.
The 26-year-old Ellis scored an impressive nine Ligue 1 goals in just 20 top-tier outings for the French side last stint. On loan from Boavista, Ellis failed to prevent relegation to the second level. Bordeaux has exercised a permanent option.
But previous reports say that they want to sell it immediately and make a profit. GFFN says the permanent option was £5million, but Leeds and other interested parties will have to pay more than double – £12million.
Still a cheap-ish figure made its way into France’s top tier last season, especially for a side that was relegated. Now, Diaz says Leeds and West Ham are keen, and they have several offers on the table this summer.

Branded ‘Explosives’, Ellis was playing for Houston Dynamo in MLS while Jesse Marsh was managing New York Red Bull. Leeds Gaffer, who has already signed two of its former players, should know Ellis very well.
With Rafinha now on the verge of moving to Chelsea, Leeds will certainly try to bring in another winger. The last time he signed a fast, fleet-footed winger from Ligue 1, it worked out very well.
Meanwhile, West Ham want depth in the attack as they launch another European campaign. Last season, a lack of depth hampered their form in the Premier League as they reached the semi-finals of the Europa League.
