The Creative Assembly has taken the wraps off its next big update for Total War: Warhammer 3 and when fans can expect it to land later this month.
This new patch will not include the Immortal Engine campaign, which is not expected until the end of this summer.

Total War Warhammer 3 Update 1.3 Release Date for Steam
The Creative Assembly has confirmed the final release date for Total War: Warhammer 3 Update 1.3 will be Thursday, June 30, 2022. CA has warned fans that this upcoming patch will be smaller than the previous one, due to resources being used to develop the Immortal Engine.
However, with that in mind, the next W3 update aims to address a variety of outstanding issues, along with including some chunky content tweaks. It also includes player-reported frustrations and other areas that will help lay the foundation for the release of major updates coming this August.
While the next patch has remained mostly intact, one feature isn’t making it, meaning fans won’t see an increase in the frequency of field battles in campaign mode. Character Traits and Skill Tree Review
A popular theme since the launch of Warhammer III: Traits gained by defeating Legendary Lords You’ll likely see some adjustments to make you feel more rewarded when you stump a big villain.
Many skill trees will also keep seeing updates. Not only will this improve the efficacy of your Lords and Legendary Lords, but it will also help factions that have historically struggled to replenish their armies. We’ll be sharing specific changes in the 1.3 release notes, so watch out for them then!

As we continue to tweak realm of chaos Several new changes are being implemented to address some of the more frustrating aspects of the campaign, identified by players:
- When the AI teleports to Forge of Souls, players will now be prompted to teleport and face them (if they are in a position to do so). This should counteract the need for Forge of Souls to actively camp until the AI appears.
- The final encounter with Belacor has been adjusted to be less time-consuming and punishing.
There are also a number of changes coming to Tzeentch’s scope, notably:
- Sigils will now be revealed when the player enters/exits a teleport location.
- Action points used to move and position your forces will no longer be lost from interacting with the point of interest.
- The AI will now have to teleport eight times before reaching the end zone.
